Founder of TriChicks
Amy created TriChicks in 2015 and brings over 9 years of coaching and racing experience. She holds a BSc Exercise & Sports Science, a Graduate Diploma in Physical Education/Health and is a Development Triathlon Coach. In 2012 she was named WA Triathlete of the Year in her Age Group for Short Course, qualified for both the Short and Long Course World Championships, and took out 2nd place in her first Ironman for her Age Group. After taking a few years off focussing her time and energy on growing TriChicks, she is now back in the saddle and training for her third Ironman in Challenge Roth 2018. Her mission is to help educate, empower and help women achieve their triathlon goals, and help lower the barrier of entry for women to the sport.
Vanessa is a triathlon coach for TriChicks and former professional long-course triathlete. She has 10 years racing experience under her belt and during this time achieved a 3rd place finish in her division at the Ironman World Champs in Kona, Hawaii along with multiple top 10 finishes in half and full Iron-distance races as a professional. As a coach Vanessa is passionate about introducing women to a sport that is full of opportunity and self discovery and loves to help each athlete on their journey towards their goals.
Jess is a Triathlon Coach for TriChicks, as well as an athlete herself in the main squad. Jess is not only a fantastic triathlete herself, she also has a passion for women’s health, and getting women into the sport. She works full time as a physiotherapist, so is happy to offer injury advice and support to the TriChicks Tribe. She joined TriChicks at the start of 2017 after finding she couldn’t find any like-minded athletes at local clubs, and found the friendship and support at TriChicks was exactly what she was looking for.
